CARING FOR YOUR STAKE - Due to the nature of wood, each piece is unique - the grain, colour and appearance of the wood will vary and may also affect the colour of the engraving and therefore will not be identical to what you see in the pictures. A protective layer is put on the end of the stake to help seal the surface against moisture but if the stake will be in prolonged contact with soil, I would recommend wrapping the end in cling film to extend the life of the stake.
